Stucco, siding and trim painted to survive California sun — prep first, color second — Santa Ana, Orange County.
Southern California sun is hard on paint no matter what's under it, and Santa Ana has two very different exteriors carrying that same sun — stucco tract homes through most of the city, and original wood siding on the craftsman houses closer to Floral Park. Stucco cracks and chalks; wood siding checks, peels and lets water behind it if it's ignored. We paint both, but we don't treat them the same. Stucco gets cracks filled and chalk washed off before a coat goes on; wood siding gets scraped, sanded and primed on bare spots so the new paint bonds to wood instead of to old flaking paint. Trim, fascia and garage doors are part of the same job, not a separate quote.
A stucco house near Downtown Santa Ana and a wood-sided craftsman near Floral Park can sit two blocks apart and need completely different exterior prep — one needs crack filler and a wash, the other needs scraping down to bare wood in spots. We walk the exterior with you before quoting so the estimate matches the actual house, not a generic stucco price.
